Wellness Support with Flower Essences

Flower Essences and Your Wellness

Flower essences are an old or ancient healing remedy that most main stream healers and medical experts have long forgotten about. As alternative therapies begin to come back into fold of medical solutions, flower essences will be one of the healing modalities that practitioners will be embracing.

I was first introduced to flower essences and their healing properties when I was working with business in California. The owner, CEO used them faithfully and when I needed support thru a situation she sat down and guided me through. The subtle but power change was amazing to say the last. That was back in 2002. Today, I still use them. I have introduced clients to their use as well as family and friends.

My coaching business is a holistic practice as I embrace the mind, body and spirit into my sessions. Because of this, people consider me a pioneer in the integration of the three with coaching sessions. The holistic part of my practice includes the use of supportive elements like this, Flower Essences. It also includes many more. But today, we are going to focus on the benefits of flower essences and your wellness. As we all know, your wellness is one of the key foundational legs in which your business success is based.

The Industry of Flower Essences

There are many flower essences to choose from. My personal preference is Perelandra flower essences. But that doesn’t mean one of the leaders in the industry, Bach is no less effective or valuable to the user. It is because of this, I wanted to share with you some information regarding Bach Flower Essences specifically. Each of us is unique and therefore need to know what works for one may or may not work for another. We each have the power of choice. And I’d like to empower you to choose which flower essence supplier is best for you.

An Understanding

Due to the popularity of Bach, Flower Essence Therapy is also called Bach Flower Therapy. After its founder Dr. Edward Bach. The therapy involves the use of essences of 38 healing herbs to treat physical and mental ailments. According to flower essence therapy philosophy, physical and mental illnesses are the result of energy imbalances in our body. These imbalances could be the result of trauma or emotional hurt, disassociation from our life purpose, emotional disconnect, etc.

The 38 essential Bach flower herbs contain energetic imprints of the life force of plants. These help in reversing the disease causing the imbalances. For this reason Bach flower therapy is in the category of vibrational healing practices. As the energetic imprint carries a certain energy vibration that resonates with the vibration of our human cells.

Categories of Flower Essences

Flower essences go through a process called “potentization” and typically use brandy as the preserve. According to Dr Bach’s system, the flower essences can be classified in the following categories:

The Twelve Healers’:

Centaury, Agrimony, Chicory, Cerato, Gentian, Clematis, Impatiens, Rock , Mimulus, Rose,  Vervain, Scleranthus , Water Violet

The Seven Helpers:

Wild Oat, Gorse, Oak, Heather, Rock Water, Olive, Vine,

The Second Nineteen:

Star of Bethlehem, Walnut, Beech, Cherry Plum, Aspen, Willow,  Crab Apple, Chestnut Bud, Holly, Hornbeam, Elm, Larch, Mustard, Wild Rose, Honeysuckle,  Pine,  Sweet Chestnut, White Chestnut, Red Chestnut

Properties

Every essence is said to have unique properties. Most Bach flower therapy experts rely on their intuition to choose the right essence combination for a particular physical or mental ailment.  This however, does not mean one doesn’t need to be aware of the basic descriptions of essences.

In fact, just like every other alternative healing therapy, a Bach flower therapy expert uses both his/her intuitive guidance. As well as knowledge of flower essences to prescribe the best remedy. Bach flower essences can be added to a bath, or in the form of lotions or oils.

Though the therapy is considered side effect free and safe. It shouldn’t be used as a replacement of conventional medicine. And as always we recommend you discussing your decision of adding Bach Flower Essences to your healing regime with your primary care physician.

It is well known that Bach flower therapy can be used to accelerate the healing process by complimenting conventional medical treatments.  The therapy can also be easily combined with alternative healing techniques like Reiki, hypnosis, herbal medicine, etc. The subtle support my clients feel in their wellness journey is a sense of peace and more in balance. It’s one of the main reason I personally use them. And why I encourage my clients to consider them when moving through a challenge or transition in their business or personal lives.
